Ruby Rose: girl of twenty-two, Asian-American. Born on a Pacific island, raised in the suburban Midwest, and currently residing in NorCal. A conglomeration of contradictions, not given to wholly identifying with one group or one culture but tries always to be empathetic towards individuals. Strives to treat others as she would want to be treated. Closet neurotic who sometimes obsesses over her identity and image. Carefree and careless. Part nihilist, part solipsist, part fatalist. Believes that before bettering the world, one must first focus on bettering herself. Believes that appearance is important in showing respect to others as well as yourself. Believes religion and spirituality can be summed up into one word:kindness. Dreams as an idealist, lives as a realist. A practical thinker given to outbursts of artistic creativity. Lover of writing and literature, music across the spectrum of sound, art and aesthetics. I am who I am trying to be all I can be.

A bright hello to anyone who happens to stumble upon this page. As stated, my name is Ruby, but feel free to call me by whichever internet handle you might know me as. I just thought that since I've joined several communities here on lj, I would finally take the time to spruce up this bio and introduce myself a little better. Even though I have both myspace and facebook accounts, livejournal is home to my inner thoughts and feelings, not to mention the only site online where I like to interact with fellow users and even perhaps meet and make new friends. For privacy's sake, most of my posts are friends' only, however I've little qualm about returning the favor if others add me.
